A new wave of industrial investment is hitting northern Mexico. Click Technology, a firm specializing in precision components, has committed $17 million to establish a manufacturing facility in the state of Coahuila. The project is expected to create hundreds of jobs and further solidify the region's reputation as a prime location for export-oriented manufacturing.
State officials confirmed that the investment will focus on building a modern plant equipped with advanced machinery. The facility is designed to produce high-tech parts for various industries, including automotive and electronics. This move aligns with Coahuila's strategy to attract capital that supports global supply chains, particularly for companies looking to nearshore operations from Asia.
The new plant will be located in one of the state's industrial parks, leveraging existing infrastructure and logistics networks. Coahuila already hosts major automotive assemblers and parts suppliers, making it a natural fit for Click Technology's expansion. The company cited the state's skilled workforce, competitive operating costs, and proximity to the U.S. border as key factors in its decision.
Local economic development agencies praised the announcement, noting that it reinforces Coahuila's status as a manufacturing powerhouse. The investment is expected to generate significant direct employment, with additional jobs created through local suppliers and service providers. Construction is slated to begin in the coming months, with production targeted to start by early next year.
