The Mississippi Public Service Commission joined forces with the Moses West Foundation to demonstrate a promising solution for water scarcity. The event focused on atmospheric water generation technology, a system that pulls moisture from the air and converts it into clean, drinkable water. This method has already been deployed in past emergencies, including crisis situations in Flint, Michigan, and Jackson, Mississippi, where residents faced unsafe tap water.

The demonstration aimed to educate local officials and the public about alternative water sources. The technology works by cooling humid air to collect condensation, which is then filtered and mineralized. Unlike bottled water or trucked-in supplies, the generator can produce thousands of gallons per day using only electricity and ambient air.
