The Lancaster County Career and Technology Center - Willow Street campus held its annual certificate ceremony on May 26 at Calvary Church, recognizing the achievements of its graduating class. Students from a range of technical programs gathered with family and instructors to mark the completion of their hands-on training.
The ceremony highlighted both program completion and individual excellence. Along with certificates of completion, several students received special awards for outstanding performance in their fields. These awards recognized not only technical skill but also professionalism, attendance, and leadership demonstrated throughout the school year.
Instructors took time to acknowledge the unique challenges students faced this year, particularly the balance between rigorous coursework and real-world work experiences. Many graduates have already secured employment or apprenticeships in their chosen trades, a point of pride emphasized during the event.
School administrators spoke about the growing demand for skilled workers in the region and encouraged graduates to continue learning beyond the classroom. They reminded students that the discipline and problem-solving habits built at the center would serve them well in their careers.
The ceremony closed with a reception, where graduates posed for photos with their families and thanked the teachers who guided them. For many, this milestone marks the start of a new chapter in fields ranging from automotive technology to health sciences and welding.
